Sources

Live results come from Democracy Club's open API (CC-BY 4.0). Boundaries are published by the Ordnance Survey, ONS, and the boundary commissions for England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Archive results are taken from official returning officer publications and Electoral Commission summary tables.

What 'declared' means

A constituency is shown as declared when at least one of its mapped Democracy Club ballots returns a final result. Verified means all mapped ballots are moderator-confirmed by Democracy Club.

Caching

Results are cached for 30 seconds to protect upstream APIs and keep the site responsive on election night. The first declaration timestamp for each ballot is persisted, so the live feed shows stable timings rather than refresh-relative ones.

Limitations

We map ballots to constituencies by name. A handful of edge cases may need manual mapping; if a result looks wrong, please let us know. (Changelog)
